Concepto | Concept
El concepto de "Cambiando Reposa" parte de una reinterpretación de esta frase de Heráclito de Efeso. Cada individuo se encuentra en constante transformación, es inestable e indefinible. Tanto nuestra personalidad como nuestra imagen cambian a medida que nuestro entorno las afecta, influyendo de ésta forma también en nuestra auto-percepción.
"Cambiando reposa" is a contemporary interpretation of this phrase by Heráclito de Éfeso. We believe that every individual is under constant transformations, we are unstable and indefinable. Our personalities and images are changing while we are affected by our enviroment, which ends up taking some influence over our self-perception.

Materializamos esta idea en una experiencia interactiva. Se trata de un espejo circular que cambia de color cuando el espectador se acerca al mismo, afectando nuestra percepción de nosotros mismos y nuestras emociones a través de la psicología del color de cada tono.
Es la participación del espectador la que completa nuestro concepto, sin él nuestra obra no tendría sentido.
La realidad no es lo que vemos, es lo que percibimos de ella, por lo que creemos apropiado transmitir este concepto ya que expora en la percepción del ser humano y la forma en que la misma es alterada según el color de su entorno, mientras a su vez, éste color afecta en su propio reflejo.
The idea is to reify the concept in a luminous, circular mirror, which changes its color when the viewer comes near. It affects our sensibility through different colors.
We are looking for our concept to be finished with the participation of the viewer.
As we believe that reality is what we can perceive of it, we think is an appropiate way to convey the concept, as it explore about human beings and its perception, which is altered by the colors of the enviroment, with changes in the way individuals see themselves.

El color de la luz se modifica en relación a la distancia con el espectador, el color comienza a cambiar a partir de los 0.5 metros, lo que genera que la luz que rodea el espejo se divide en dos colores. A medida que el espectador se acerca, la distancia que se necesita para que el color cambie es reducida, generando un efecto estroboscópico.
Colors shift in relation with the distance of the viwer, color starts changing every 0.5m, which generates that the light around the mirror gets divided. When the viewer comes near, the distance needed to change the color is reduced. What makes an strobe ilusion.

Prototipado en 3D | 3D prototype
Inspired in light and space movement artists such as Olafur Elliasson, Julio Le Parq, Carlos Cruz Diez and James Turrel we decided to approach this project based on the experimentation of light.
So we explored different uses and forms of light, and decided to use it as our raw material, inquiring about how can it affect human beings, the psychological changes generated by the different colors, such as the way it can change our reality.
We believe that reality is what we can perceive of it.
